Why we do not build e-shops on a ready-made platform

A ready-made platform is a quick start, but the e-shop inherits its limits. We program to fit your number of products, your way of selling and whoever will run the shop. If you already run on a platform, we can help you move to a custom solution when it makes sense.

  • Shoptet

    A rented e-shop platform that is very common among Slovak and Czech shops. It suits a quick start without a server, but the plan limits the design and features and the monthly fee is paid to the provider. We do not build e-shops on Shoptet; if you run on it, we can move you to a custom solution.

  • WooCommerce

    An e-shop on WordPress that you run yourself. It gives more freedom in design and features, but needs good hosting and regular updates. We do not build e-shops on WordPress; if you already run on it, we can move you to a custom solution.

  • Shopify

    A rented platform often chosen by shops that also sell abroad. The platform fee is paid to the provider, and we do not build e-shops on Shopify.

  • Custom build

    An e-shop without a template for large catalogues, B2B price lists or a connection to a warehouse system or ERP. It is the most flexible route and the only one we build; it starts at €9,900.

How much an e-shop costs

On the Slovak market, e-shops on ready-made platforms (Shoptet, WooCommerce or Shopify) usually cost between €1,500 and €8,000, depending on features and integrations. We do not build e-shops on ready-made platforms; we build them custom. The price covers a custom design, payments, delivery, product import and basic measurement.

A custom-built e-shop starts at €9,900; market prices for genuine custom development are usually €8,000 to €25,000. With rented platforms, add the provider's monthly fee (for Shoptet roughly €16.50 to €173.50 per month depending on the plan).

How a project runs

  1. 1Free intro call. We find out the number of products, delivery and payment methods and the systems the e-shop should connect to.
  2. 2A fixed-price quote. You get an exact scope, no hourly billing.
  3. 3Design. You see and approve the look before any programming starts.
  4. 4Set-up and integrations. Product import, payments, delivery and, if needed, accounting.
  5. 5Test order and launch. We go through the whole purchase as a customer would, then launch the shop.

01Which platform do you build e-shops on?

We build custom-programmed e-shops, not ones on Shoptet, WooCommerce or Shopify. We design the solution only after talking through your number of products, delivery and who will run the shop.

02I already have an e-shop on another platform. Can we work with it?

Yes. We first look at what you work with. Then we recommend whether to improve the e-shop or whether moving to a new one makes sense.

03I have no IT department. How will it be managed?

You should be able to manage products and content yourself. For everything else we agree how it works after launch.

04How much will it cost?

A custom e-shop starts at €9,900. The final price depends on the number of products, payment and delivery options and connections to other systems. In the consultation you get an indicative price with no obligation.

05Why not just a ready-made template?

A template is quick, but it is often not optimised for mobile, speed or ordering. We build what your shop really needs.
